Dr. Ross T-Shirt Illustration/Design

Earlier this year I did an illustration for a T-Shirt promoting a local Chiropractic Doctor, Dr. Ross, who specializes in seeing pregnant moms as well as children. We have been seeing Dr. Ross since we were expecting our first child Jonny, and he has helped us all in recovering from pain since then. So, when his practice made a post about needing a design for T-Shirts promoting his practice, I was really excited to see what I could come up with, just for fun.

Dr. Ross was really excited with the final result and he went forth with printing the illustration on T-Shirts for all sizes of the family. After having them available in his office, he told me that he has gotten so much praise for the design from patients and people in the streets. Pretty awesome to see my work making others happy!

Here's my son rocking the shirt! As well as a close up on the detail and the original drawing.

CB550 Illustration

I teach Photoshop, Illustrator, and Web Design at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. For my Photoshop class I created an assignment where students hand draw an image of their choice and use Photoshop to modify the hand drawn image into an illustrative piece that they can add to their portfolio. So, I saw this as a good opportunity to do a demonstration on how I create my artwork.

This was my first time taking video of myself drawing, as well as filming my process of doing illustrations. It was definitely challenging doing the filming, editing, and being the subject all at the same time. But, I learned a lot from this experience and I am really happy with the result of my video along with the creation of the assignment which many of my students told me they had a lot of fun with.

Grind Time Free Wallpaper for Desktop and iphone5

Remember when downloading funky desktop wallpapers was cool? I've always liked to use fresh wallpaper themes that other Designers and Illustrators created back when I worked as an in-house designer, forest and sea landscapes get boring right? So, I finally made my own wallpaper just for fun and its FREE and you can use for your iPhone 5 too!

Instructions for downloading: Click the links below and once a new window opens right click the image and save as to desktop and set your wallpaper. Or if you are on an iPhone, touch the image to save to your camera roll and set as wallpaper.

The quote I used is from Houston rapper, Chamillionaire, "Grind Time, I Need Mine". I wanted to draw up some awesome lettering for this quote because "Grinding" "Hustling" or whatever you call putting in hard work is something I've been doing and believe religiously in.

Use these wallpapers on your computer and iPhone and stay inspired to keep putting in work with whatever you "Grind" is.
